FAQ
How do I price cookies or a cake?
Add up ingredients for the batch (plus a little for waste), packaging, your time at an hourly wage and a share of overhead. Divide by the number of cookies (or servings/cakes) to get cost per unit, then add your markup.
What markup should I use?
There's no universal number. Start from your full cost including labor, then check what your local market will pay. Markup is on cost; a 50% markup equals a 33% margin.
How do I price a cake per serving?
Enter the number of servings as the yield. The calculator then gives cost and price per serving, and the whole-cake price.
